Records Retention Training
Did you know that there are new records retention policies and schedules at Public Works? Recently there has been an effort to strengthen our understanding of records and information governance across our organization. Our new policy will allow us to improve efficiency internally and increase responsiveness to public records requests and to our partner agencies. The University is offering a Teams training session on the new records policy and information management. This session will be particularly helpful for those involved in large projects with high volumes of information.
Areas to be covered include: · The overall life of a record · Sunshine requests and litigation holds · What is a record vs. a document? · How to identify a record and its owner · What to do with records – paper & digital · Email: What is or isn’t a record? What do we do with email? · Whom to contact for indexing/storage |
* This training is currently being offered on Teams. Check your inbox or with the University about an upcoming session
